Indications 
The tourniquet is a device designed to interrupt the circulation of blood in a limb in order to take a sample or an injection. The healthcare professional must be very careful not to leave the tourniquet in place after performing the procedure (risk of more or less reversible lesions) If used by multiple patients: decontaminate with a suitable surface disinfectant. If used on a patient contaminated by highly resistant microorganisms, reserve the device exclusively for this patient, then dispose of the device in the infectious risk healthcare waste.
